Another initiative from KVC is tree planting in Kenya. Planting trees for the environment is good as they are renewable, biodegradable and recyclable. Kenya Vegetarian Club is planning to plant a hundred trees in every school in Kenya. There are more than ten thousand schools in Kenya. KVC has made a beginning in Kisumu County and gradually will be able to take it across the entire country. It will turn into a mass movement very soon with enthusiastic participation from all sections of the society for it is for the future of this nation, for this planet.

The initial tree planting drive was conducted in January 2016 and students from schools like MM Shah School, Muslim Secondary school, Highway Secondary school, St. Theresa School, Kisumu Girls School, Jalaram Academy School, Kisumu Junior Academy and Kisumu Senior Academy whole heartedly participated in the drive. More than 150 kids supported the drive with enthusiasm promising to adopt a tree each and nurture it in the coming years. Kenya Vegetarian Club began moving to the interior parts of the County in early April 2016 and organized tree planting sessions in Akuche. 250 seedlings were planted by the students who have taken the responsibility of nurturing the plants by christening them with names to create a feeling of belongingness. Trees were also planted at Katuk Odeyo Village and in Kibigori.
